MENDE, France - Two-time Tour de France champion Alberto Contador won the fourth stage of the Paris-Nice race and took the overall lead from Jens Voigt. The 172-kilometre stage Thursday from Maurs to Mende ended in a Category 1 climb. The Spaniard left the field behind with his trademark acceleration. WARSAW, Poland - Polish cross-country skier Kornelia Marek tested positive for EPO at the Vancouver Olympics in the first serious doping case of the Games, the Polish Olympic Committee said Thursday. Kathrin Hoelzl of Germany wins giant slalom World Cup title, Maze wins race

GARMISCH-PARTENKIRCHEN, Germany - Olympic silver medallist Tina Maze of Slovenia won the final giant slalom race of the season Thursday and German Kathrin Hoelzl clinched the World Cup title in the event by finishing second. Maria Riesch of Germany placed third to cut American Lindsey Vonn's overall World Cup lead to 165 points with two races remaining. Spanish star Rafael Nadal targets grass-court comeback with return to Queen's
